Accessibility Improvements
Is your eLearning lacking accessibility? We can help augment your existing eLearning course to meet WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility guidelines so everyone at your organization can consume your training.
Why improve the accessibility of your eLearning?
By making your eLearning accessible, you reduce roadblocks and barriers that can prevent your learners from accessing and understanding your training materials. The benefits your organization can receive from improving your eLearning accessibility include:
- Creating eLearning with accessible elements, such as having tooltips, correctly parsed headings, video controls, and closed captioning, leads to better learning outcomes across all your learner audiences
- Ensure you’re ahead of government regulations, legal compliance, and legislation focused on accessibility to avoid fines, penalties, and other legal action
- Give all your learners an equal opportunity to learn and succeed with your organization, which can lead to high morale and productivity by demonstrating a commitment to inclusivity
How we can help you
As part of your accessibility improvement project with us, we help you by:
- Reviewing your current Articulate Rise or Storyline course to assess updates required to meet WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility
- Recommending a course of action based on our assessment, which will either be:
- A report on the updates needed for your eLearning to meet accessibility requirements
- For your eLearning to be rebuilt to meet accessibility requirements, which will cause the scope of the project to increase
- Updating your course via the authoring tool that was used for initial creation, including:
- Adding alternative text for instructional image
- Updating colors to meet 4.5:1 guidelines
- Updating focus order for keyboard navigation
- Updating video player settings for learner control
- Adding closed captions for narration
- Ensuring button controls can be interpreted correctly by screen readers
- Adjusting animations to avoid things like strobe effects
- Ensuring color is not used to provide instruction or adding icons as needed to enhance accessibility
