Instructor-led training converted to eLearning your whole audience can take.
We rebuild classroom sessions, webinars and recorded workshops as self-paced courses that keep what made the live version work, for an audience your trainers' calendars could never reach.
NASSCO exam pass rate on its self-paced recertification, against 92% in the instructor-led program.

When live training stops scaling
Instructor-led training often works well. The trouble is the delivery. Sessions fill faster than trainers can teach them, quality varies by trainer and location, and people in remote places can't get to the room.
Converting it is a redesign. A recording of the session is raw material, and the work is rebuilding what the facilitator did in the room, such as explaining a point a second way, checking that people understood and holding their attention, so the course does it without anyone there to lead it.
Signs it's time to convert
Demand outpaces your trainers
Sessions fill faster than trainers can deliver them, and growing means more headcount, travel and scheduling.
Quality varies
The same course lands differently by location, trainer and session.
Webinar recordings stand in for a course
Recordings hold good content but have no structure, no assessment and no reason to finish.
One expert carries the best session
Your best trainer can only be in one room at a time, and retirement or turnover puts what they know at risk.
A certification needs in-person attendance
Foundational content can move online while hands-on assessment stays in person, so capacity grows.
Learners are spread out
People in rural and remote places need the training without traveling to get it.
What converts well
Stable content such as policy, procedure and product knowledge; foundational material learners need before they practice; and content where people start at different levels, so some can test out.
What often stays live
Content that depends on discussion, hands-on practice with feedback and role-play. For these, a self-paced module before the session brings everyone in at the same level, and the classroom time goes to practice.
How a conversion works

1
We review what you have
Slide decks, facilitator notes, recordings, workbooks and the expertise of your trainers. We sort what transfers as it is, what needs redesigning and what can be cut.
2
We capture what was never on the slides
Much of what made a session work was never written down. Two or three sessions with your trainers or experts, 60 to 90 minutes each, capture the examples, the stories and the answers to the questions learners always ask.
3
We redesign it for self-paced learning
Discussions become reflection prompts and scenarios, live demonstrations become interactive walkthroughs, group exercises become individual practice, and in-person assessments become online ones that measure the same skills.
4
We storyboard, build and test
You review the storyboard and then the build, with one major and one minor round each, and we check the course in your LMS before launch.
5
We launch and support it
The course goes into your LMS with its source files, and we fix minor bugs for 30 days after your approval.
A self-paced course, or a set of them, in the format your LMS needs: SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, xAPI or cmi5.
Your content restructured for self-paced learning, with recorded footage edited into the course where it helps.
Assessments designed for online delivery.
Accessibility to WCAG AA, with the review log.
The source files, at no extra cost.
Conversions our clients have measured
[The Neovation team] broke the eLearning courses into readable, bite-sized pieces without losing the content or the intent of the original. We were able to cut training time in half, and in some cases more, with the combination of eLearning and field work. What the Neovation team came up with was just outstanding.

2024 Brandon Hall Group Gold, Best Blended Learning
In-person coach workshops rebuilt as a blended, bilingual program: self-paced courses first, then a practical session delivered locally. Training time fell by half or more, and education revenue grew from $60,000 in 2020 to $500,000 in 2023.
A non-profit organization led by and for the building construction industry
Its in-person asbestos awareness training, built to the government's training standard, converted to an online course workers can take wherever they are. It launched in January 2025.
A self-paced recertification added beside a classroom program that could not meet demand: a 98% exam pass rate against 92% in the instructor-led program, and recertification capacity doubled.
A 50-page, 200-question workbook that staff completed before class became a digital workbook with automatic grading. Workbook compliance reached 100%, and classroom time fell by at least an hour per session.
If you need one course of up to an hour converted from a deck or a recording you already have, Custom eLearning Express builds it at a fixed price of $1,999 USD in ten business days.
You can, and some learners will watch it. A recording has no structure, no assessment and no way for learners to ask what a facilitator would have answered. We use recordings as raw material, cutting the strongest moments into the course and building the practice around them.
Will self-paced training be as effective as the live session?
It can be, when the course is designed to do what the facilitator did. NASSCO's self-paced recertification reached a 98% exam pass rate, against 92% in its instructor-led program.
How do learners get answers without a trainer?
Your trainers know the questions learners ask most, so we gather those in the expert sessions and build the answers into the course. A blended design keeps a live session for the questions that need a person.
How long does a conversion take?
A custom course usually takes six to twenty weeks from kickoff to launch, and programs with several courses take longer. We build the schedule backward from the date you need it.
What does a conversion cost?
Every conversion is quoted. What sets the price is how organized your material is, how much expertise needs capturing, and how far the interactivity and media go. One course of up to an hour from existing material can be built at a fixed price through Custom eLearning Express.
Will the course work in our LMS?
Yes. We can deliver it into whatever LMS you use, as SCORM, xAPI or cmi5, and you keep the source files.
What do you need from us?
Your existing material and two or three sessions with your trainers or experts, 60 to 90 minutes each. For a single course, plan on 10 to 20 hours of your team's time across the project.
How can we help move your classroom training online?
Tell us what you're working on and we'll suggest where to start. We reply within three business hours.
